Shattered and scarred she lied on the bed
Gazing at the scars and thinking how it all began
Empty on the very inside
She cried, she fought, she tried
But is now consumed by the loneliness
A never-ending pit in her stomach
The insecurities eating her alive
Unable to accept her imperfections
Waking up every morning, wishing she didn't
Nobody saw her scream, nobody saw her cry
She wanted to be saved
To be fixed, to be loved
Wanted a ray of light she could run to
Needed a reason to be alive
Her parents hated her and her friends let her bleed
Utterly hopeless and devastated
The pain became too much for her
She chose to end the misery and let herself free
She took a blade and tore her skin
Letting all of her blood ooze out
But she was not dying quick enough
So more deep cuts she made
A blood-red waterfall ending a life
The pain started to fade
She wanted to be saved
But now, it's too late.
