Shield Us Both

Golden rays scattered across the sky
All things underneath seems glowing
What purpose would these be
If someone's presence isn't seen

I'm a clown with multi-colored suits
Different masks on different occassions
I make everybody happy
Concealing cries in graveyard sections

The seashore became witnesses
Of the naughty heartless oppressors
How they smile in secrecy
Behind dark sturdy doors

We are bonded as one, but
I think our love's not enough
To destroy incoming bullets
Our love is not enough
To overcome consequences

I was like a Mayor on the sand
Too chill handling things like
They'll stay forever and not be gone
And you were like a faithful servant
Sitting like a princess with a smile
Savoring the time while facing the sun

We became bonded into one, but
I think our love's not enough
To protect ourselves from bullets
Our love is not enough
To conquer nasty evil faces

Twelve months after this very day
Golden rays scattered across the sky
My heart's seeking for your presence
I put my mask on, I don't wanna cry

And so the sun decided to go down
Guess I'll be seeing it with a frown
Golden memories of us at the sea
Always and forever, my last farewell to thee
