Sigh

I don't know what's got into me

Suddenly I feel like I'm not the usual me

Feeling down and distressed

I don't know, I'm clue less

I feel empty, uneasy

I miss something, terribly

Though I don't know what it is, really

Still I struggle to fight it, badly

Then it caught my eyes

Two things untouched 

Right on top of my table

There lays a book and a journal

Reaching out, I took it

And then a voice I heard, saying

"Child, these are things

that you have  been neglecting."

Now, I know what I've been missing

It's the Bible and my journal, that I've been ignoring

That I often forget reading His Words and praying

That it's His voice that I miss hearing

A sigh of relief, I am enlightened

I now feel renewed, strengthened

Thank you Lord for reminding me

Of the things I need to stay alive and free
