Sleep

I am sleepy, do not wish to wake up.

sleep sleep sleep sleep,

Don't turn the light on.

What is this feeling at all?

Why do we sleep once more?

I see no reason to get more

I definitely want some more.

Are we training for when we die?

Just shutting off, leaving life behind.

Not really caring what happens at night,

as long as we sleep, and sleeping we shall.

No sex, no movies, no scribbling down notes,

no more of arguing, no more of our jobs,

no sounds, no touch, just the feeling of being off.

Sleeping is a bliss, because we know we'll come back,

But what will happen when we're not allowed to wake up?

Will you fall asleep so blissfully, like a baby in her crib.

If you do so let me know, how does it feel to forever sleep.

Is death an eternal sequence of dreams?

Is it darkness beyond what it seems?

Perhaps a quick sleep between life seeds.

Perhaps a realm where we truly live.

Are we not energy, never to be destroyed?

Are we not made of the same universe?

Perhaps we're gods, playing with toys,

our human bodies brought by one verse.

The verse of existence in which we all stay,

because it lets us see right there in the flesh,

feel all the pain and joy of existence,

play with others this game that we play.

The game of life, the game of death,

the game of keeping ourselves within breath,

of staying alive as long as we can,

of keeping our legacy in the land that we stand.

So sleep away, sleep or not,

It matters everything, it matters not,

Sleeping is bliss, sleeping is great.

As long as you don't go long sleeping yet.

Now go away, I need to sleep,

I spent too long explaining this,

I got tired of thinking straight,

I need my sleep to feel that I'm dead.
