It was a slow burn,
Gently scorching the skin,
When you grazed your lips with mine

It was a slow fall,
Barely felt,
A mellow breeze from the sea

When you stared into my eyes
I saw how everything will play out
Yet I let your flame engulf me
My whole being set ablaze
But it made me feel
Alive
