It was something about him that i couldn't quite understand. Maybe it was the way he said nothing and meant something. Or maybe it was the way his eyes lit up just by seeing me. He was not happy. And that's okay. Because happiness is a mood and not a destination. Hearing him say i love you was all i could ask for at that moment. We both knew it wasn't going to last. But oh God i wish it did.
