Stress can be a reason for diffuse thinning

Info

Hair fall can be caused due to various reasons and stress is one among them. Stress triggers telogen effluvium. It is a condition of temporary hair loss in which partial shedding of your hair takes place due to a disturbed hair cycle. As a result, diffuse thinning appears on your scalp.

A normal hair goes through three stages namely anagen, catagen, and telogen. Among these stages, telogen is the resting state. At any time at least 10% of the hairs are resting. A hair strand usually spends 3 months in this state and during this time, it falls off and gets replaced by new hair.

What is telogen effluvium?

When a person suffers from telogen effluvium, the number of resting hairs can be increased up to 30% and as a result more hairs fall off then they are replaced with a new one. This results in diffuse thinning on your entire scalp. To prevent this hair condition, first of all, you must identify the arising problem and for that, you must know the symptoms of diffuse thinning. Let’s have a look at them.
