A faint music rang in the background. "Or maybe it's just me imagining it", she thought, "at least it's beautiful here". Despite this being her first time at this particular place, she recognised it to be his favorite place. His voice startled her. "I'll be selfish", he said. When was he not. That thought was pushed back. "Please don't leave". The waves crashed against the rocks and made way into her eyes.
"Don't do this to me now". She cursed her voice for the betrayal. "I've gotten used to you not being mine", she said. It might as well had been a whisper. There was a gush of wind, blowing her hair wild, enveloping her in his scent. He was closer, she realised. He was warm. "A last chance then". His face drew closer, fingers wiping away stray tears, "to make you mine". There was a promise of eternity in his eyes.
Pieces of an airplane ticket were taken away by the wind.
