"The art of acceptance"

Info

India is a country abounded with cultures and traditions. To every problem, the indians have some or the other ,cultural or traditional fix. But when the question is raised on the unconcerned or the problematic aspect of the cultures prevailing, They have a term for that, Modernisation. The most common and happening problem in every second house of india these days is, The cultures taking over the fact that says ‘One is entitled to have and present an opinion’.

In other countries like United states, Russia, china or Mexico, the children are raised beautifully. No doubt Indians too raise their kids well. But The only difference amongst the other countries and India is, Children are set free for everything from their very childhood. Free here refers to something very simple, For example ,Having an opinion or it could be the idea of making a decision by their own self.

But in India, there is a misconception which does not provide the liberty for decision making and forming opinion. The definition of misconception in the above context is ‘Child has a raw and fresh mind. And that mind has the boundless number of new possibilities and situations. It can think of anything and everything. So its better to put his imagination onto the pause mode forever and ever.’ People in india consider it a sin if they see people getting modernized. The people couldn’t be directly blamed for such a thing as these kinds of misconceptions have been sown in the young minds since very long by the ancestors.

It is not that bad idea of parents, of controlling the fresh mind at a young age. As it reflects their caring, concerned attitude towards a child that he might make a mistake or land himself up in bad situation by a wrong decision. But the situation becomes tough or intolerable for them, when the child overcomes the net of control and stands high with his ideas running wild into his imaginations and creativity.

It is often seen that the people have zero or negligible acceptance towards the ideas of their children. Here a typical indian parent plays the dominant while the poor kid is the submissive. He has to give up on his ideas irrespective of how good or productive they are. People don’t let their kids explore their ideas and imaginations.

According to a study by university of Philadelphia, 45% of Indian parents are narrowminded and less accepting of which 23% are the mothers. ‘It is rightly said that Mother impersonates love and grace. But when it comes down to her child wanting his freedom, She’s a complete harasser who would leave no stone unturned to make him realize of how he is not born to be free.’ The heart of every child in india aches badly when he is bullied, even when he isn’t wrong. At all.

The only way this problem could be concealed is by the art of acceptance. The art of accepting things, even when they are not set according to the way we want them to. It’s hard on most of the parents but They should let go of the cultural beliefs and rather should welcome the new imaginations and dreams and the new creative ways and themes. The country would become a piece of heaven for young minds and the streams of Fresh ideas would make the Headlines.
