The Backstreet Girl - Chapter II

Info

There was a certain mystery about her. I dared not to ask her. I was up and awake as a person of some sort of bewitching. I was nervous and excited. I was thinking of the exact words with which I would communicate. I got up on my feet dragged my left foot along to the bathroom. You know the feeling, of that combined joy and doubt. The joy of her thought and doubt if this would really be something serious. I thought for a moment whether this was a prank. But the smile on her face the previous day morning was pretty much solid on her motive. Then, I gathered myself to get ready for the ultimate show that there is. I wore a Jean and a nice shirt and paired it up with a jacket and a sweet pair of shoes. I wore the most expensive scent and a fine bracelet of silver. I thought that look doesn't matter that much while it comes to true love. But, I don't know whether it was love or pure infatuation that has befallen her. I know there's no substitute for a dress, to do the talking. I have gone out with many girls. The nervousness was quite unique, it was certainly not me. Done with the dressing, I took out my phone. I searched for her message. To my surprise, she hadn't sent me any. So, I took the liberty of calling her on her phone. She answered the call and said "Hello". I was suddenly in a trance, trance created by her voice. I paused, it seemed like an eternity. She went on. I interrupted and said about the intended meeting. She then paused and giggled. She said that she had forgotten about that. She then asked me to come to the park near the city centre. I responded positively. And then I asked when. To which she said, "About 11 AM ". I hung up on the phone. I glanced at the clock, to note the time now. Then I instantly took my bike and went to the park. I stopped near the fence. Parked my bike in the shade of a tree nearby. I placed my steps towards the centre bench. I looked at my watch to note the time. It was just 9:30 AM. I realized I was very early. I came out of the park remembering her all the time. I starkly remembered her smile, it caught me up in a world of my imagination. I got into the nearby coffee shop. I helped myself to some water. I came out of the coffee shop and sat under an outdoor table umbrella. I was engrossed in her thought that I didn't notice anything in front of my own eyes. Then I suddenly blinked and rocketed my way into reality. There she was dressed up in a fine dress with her hair in a ponytail. She wore a black leather jacket and a white shirt with a moderately long black skirt with a low heel footwear. I was amazed that for nearly an hour I was filled at her thought that I had lost the sense of time. Love always scraps off the worldly senses.

I remember her calling me by my name. I got nervous and began sweating like a pig. I didn't know what to reply with. I was cast in a spell by her beauty. I was unable to utter a word. It seemed to me that, my mouth was shut tight against my will by her. But eventually, I greeted her with a "Hello" which was the natural go-to word. She shot me one or two questions inquiring about me. I naturally replied to her without any hesitation, as anyone would if were they presented one such instance to deal with. I was in a trance at will. I was just surviving all these days for this conversation to occur. I knew she would be thrown off by the ultimate question. So, I waited patiently, like a flower would wait till the flowering season. It was immensely tough for me, all these days, just being a normal person, hiding everything. I know that I can't hide my feelings for her all of a sudden. I know I'll make it worse one day or the other. I dreaded that day would come anytime soon. I know that she would say "I Quit", to everything; even the seemingly casual conversations one would expect of a medium between any two persons.
