The Cloud

Info

Once there was a cloud wandering aimlessly. He flies high and he flies low. He just come and he just go.

One day, as he floats high he noticed something beneath him. There in the middle of nowhere, grew a little green.

He flow low and the moment the little green plant looked up and smiled, he already knew.
He watered it, shielded it from the sun, blew enough wind and took care of it.

The next day, the cloud needed to go. He flew up, left a piece of himself and go.

For days this happen. He appears, took care of the plant, leaves a piece of himself and go.

Then one day, as the cloud approaches the plant, he saw something new. There's a bud that appeared. Slowly he floats, and slowly the bud blooms. He walked to it, and he saw her smiling. And there, the cloud knew, it already grew.

He showered it with his rain, shielded it from the sun, blew enough wind and took care of it but this time, the cloud didn't go.

He took care of her for days and for weeks. But one day, the cloud must go. With a heavy heart, he flew up, left a piece of himself and go.

For days, weeks and months, the cloud haven't returned. He got caught up with something, too many places to shower and he needed to finish it.

One sunny afternoon, when he finished everything he hurriedly went to see the flower. From afar he saw something flutter. There was a butterfly around his smiling flower.

The cloud got angry. He blew his wind hard. Harder and harsher. But his flower protected the creature. She was hurting because of his anger.

The cloud's anger slowly disappeared.
His rain was slow as he floats high, left a piece of himself and go.

He didn't returned for years. Pieces of himself isn't with him. Everyday he thinks of her, he thinks of the what ifs and why nots.
Then the cloud decided to take a glimpse of her. He misses her like how he misses showering the world.

So he decided to see her. From a far, the cloud watched her. Surrounded by paradise that wasn't there before. She was surrounded by flowers and green, green grasses. She looks so happy and contented. The butterfly he saw long ago was still with her.

Leisurely, as if sensing him, the flower turned her head and saw him. She smiled sweetly and muttered a thank you.

The cloud smiled, flew high, showered everything and left. From then on the cloud knew that letting her go was the best decision he ever did.
