The Dark Valley

I walked into a dark valley, the journey was treacherous. I subconsciously led myself to it. I had nothing with me. Nothing to keep me from what lies ahead. It gladly tortured me as I moved further into it. I struggled to hold myself together. I was lost for I could not see the way.
I wanted to escape from this place. I wanted a torch to light it, that I may find where I had fallen. Fortunately, I beheld a long rope tied to the bottom, that will guide me. I held it firmly in my hands, afraid to let go.
Mercilessly, the journey in the valley was hard and long. I had to rest. My body ached. I fell asleep from the weariness.
When I woke up, God was there to nourish me. Now well nourished, I continued my journey. I was unprepared for what might happen as I walked and walked. Suddenly, there was a bright light shining at the end of one dreary path. I did not see it before. The rope still in my hand, I scurried to it, hoping the path will lead me out of the dark valley.
I jumped for joy when I reached the end of that path. I found myself on the beautiful, and peaceful place on the mountain which overlooks the valley. My home awaited me there. Without hesitation, I ran to it like a free bird.
