The farewell

Nobody said it would be this tough

It was supposed to be a hi and bye

I wasn't prepared for that push. 

It had yet to set in,

The moment that this journey was till here,

All those familiar faces,

The long day naggings to study.

I was prepared for that no one cares attitude,

I wanted this to be just like any other change 

It was supposed to be indifferent,

But this is hard,

This is like a bare thread holding a heavy weight bridge.

No longer there would be random calls.

Talking about some person from the course,

Or bitching about how less we were marked.

No longer we would bunk a class,

No more canteen's dosa,

Or Chole kulche and samosa.

The family no matter how dysfunctional,

Has come to a separation.

It's no longer about a beginning, middle or an end.

We all had this moment to cry.

Yet again together we all had our last fly.

It was the same for all

The perfect, the crazed or the troll.

This has been a small revision

Of what I call -

The Journey of my 3 years decisions.

I can't express my gratitude 

To the entire faculty 

Who helped me grow.

Those small moments which I can never let go.

Those ever changing friendships,

Some that will stay and others that will stray.

But no matter what,

 This has been one of the saddest 'au revoir'.
