The Final Eclipse(The Finale Part 1)

Info

Moon had lost her light and it made her more depressed than ever. She couldn't understand why would she lose it since she's one of the celestial beings who gives out energy. Specifically, lunar energy and the Sun gives solar energy.

Surprisingly, ever since she lost the Night, the Sun had been nothing but kind to her. He was no longer the Sun she knew before. He became so caring and so loving since then. But whenever the Sun would hug her, all she could see was darkness and it reminded her of Night.

She saw the irony of the events. Back then, she would cry to the Night how the Sun disliked her. Now, she's crying to the Sun how she had devastated Night's heart and left her as she requested. She should be happy right now, because she wept and yearned for the Sun's attention for thousands of years.

But she can't be happy. She will never be happy now that she had lost the only person who loved her the most. She had been insensitive and only thought of herself. Now is the time that she had paid the price of her selfishness. She lost her husband and children for her lover.

The Sun witnessed the tears she would cry for the Night. Then he realized he need to make things right. He couldn't bear Moon crying for so long, it was a horrible sight. So he decided to meet with the only person who could fix this trouble he had caused.

The Sun waited for a couple of minutes and finally he was braced with her presence. Her beauty had never subsided and her hair still kept flowing in colors. It was the reason why he fell in love with her, and he fell too much. Too much that he managed to destroy another couple's story, because he cannot accept what fate had gave to the both of them.

It was the sole purpose why Sun took revenge on him. His anger controlled his mind and managed to hurt them both. But he never wished for this to go far. Breaking them apart is too much for his conscience to take. It is the reason why he had to meet the reason why he had to take revenge.

There she stood with grace and colors, she paced closer to him and she gently spoke, "What is it this time, Sun?" He gazed at the woman who he loved so dear. The woman who would only love the Night too, just as he fears.

"I need your help, Aurora. I destroyed the both of them. I never wanted this to happen, Aurora. Please, help me fix them." He begged before her as she only stood before him. Suddenly, she laughed at him and there he gazed at her with confusion.

"Why? I thought you wanted this, Sun. Isn't this you wished for the whole time?" She asked with her brows raised. He noticed the strange smirk she wore as she crossed her arms before her chest. "You made a vow to destroy Night because I loved him more than I could ever love you. You have succeeded. Now why do you want this fixed?"

Sun stood there dazed. He stood with a different Aurora in front of him. This woman is not her, he thought. "Who are you?" He asked foolishly and she laughed at him.

"I am Aurora, Sun. I am who you loved."

"You are not Aurora. You sound nothing like Aurora."

She chuckled at him. "How do I sound then, Sun? How?" He never would have thought that talking to her would sound so foreign. He totally forgot who the real Aurora is.

"I'm sorry, Sun. But I guess you have to sort your own problem. I have a husband to come home to." He froze. Husband?

"W-what? You already h-had a h-husband?" He stuttered as he felt the throbbing in his chest. How could he not know this?

"Of course I have. It's Night. I'm so lucky, right?" His eyes widened in horror.

"What? But he already had a wife. His wife is Moon, Aurora. You-,"

"Was, Sun. She was the wife. I am his wife now after she pushed him away. I would love to say that your children are indeed lovely, Sun. But since none of you would like to take care of them, we took them as our own. I would love to thank you by the way for the fair gift. You have the Moon and I have him."

"Aurora, stop this. This is not you. You're hurting someone already. Moon's hurt badly."

"If she's hurt, then she should know that she destroyed Night, Sun. If she was smart enough, she wouldn't be crying her eyes out to the skies. It's too late for everything now. Why couldn't she see him when he was by her side? And now that she lost him, suddenly she wants him back? Oh please."

Sun dropped on his knees as she spoke those venomous words sternly. "She has to accept it, Sun. You have to accept it. He won't come back to her. You destroyed both of them. This is all your fault. Shame on you, Sun. Shame on you." And she left him with her head held high.

Sun felt like being eaten by his guilt. Now all his hope felt like it got wilt. He cried his way back to Moon who still is fast asleep. He can't forgive himself for destroying someone so beautiful. Suddenly her eyes fluttered slowly.

"Sun? Hey, why are you crying?" She stood up and went to him as she cupped his face. He felt the sting in his chest and finally uttered, "I'm so sorry, Moon. I'm so sorry." He sobbed on her shoulders as she soothed him.

They decided to destroy each other, but in the end it was them who destroyed themselves. Moon decided to take a stroll while Sun slept. She talked to the Clouds as they passed by. Until she saw him carrying one of the Stars.

Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of his darkness. He was more dashing than ever as he played with a huge star. She felt a tinge of pain in her heart at the memory of him leaving her alone. Suddenly, their gazes met.

Time stopped traveling or maybe it seemed like it stopped. All they know is that it felt like everything was frozen when they saw each other. Seconds passed and he smiled at her, but it was not the smile he used to wear. His smile was full of uncertainty.

She decided to step closer but the Star he held suddenly tightened its embrace around him as it looked at her with fear. She stopped on her tracks and Night snuggled at the Star. "It doesn't do well with strangers." Night started.

Moon felt like her tongue was stolen. Her voice hesitated to sing up. Noticing this, Night continued, "How are you?"

"I'm fine. How about you?" She managed to utter swiftly.

His smile grew wider at her question. "Well, this little guy over here is your eldest. Thanks to Aurora, we managed to take care all of them easily." She stiffened at a woman's name. Aurora?

"Who's Aurora?" She asked as she hid the misery laced within her voice.

"She's my wife." His smile remained blissful as her eyes widened with horror. The pain doubled and she bit her lip as the tears started to brim.

"You found someone else already?" Night turned to her.

"Of course, Moon. You pushed me away. What do you expect me to do? Cry?"

"I did." She confessed.

"You did?" He asked dumbfounded.

"Yes, I did, Night. I cried for you. And what did you do? Find someone else and be happy about leaving me alone?"

"I never thought about it that way, Moon. I-,"

"Then how come you found someone else that easily?!"

"Because you made me leave even though I intended to stay!" Moon got shocked at his outburst.
"You told me to leave, Moon. I did exactly as you told me. And now you're blaming me about everything?!" He exclaimed frustratingly. Moon became speechless for this is the first time he yelled at her.

"I'm so tired, Moon. I'm so exhausted of you. I did everything to make you happy. I wanted to make you happy. I needed you to be happy, and I blamed myself for not doing so. I chose to be your slave even if it means hurting myself, Moon. I loved you that much that I would even give away my freedom."

"Night-,"

"I chose to sacrifice everything I had. But all you did was to complain! You kept on ranting at me even though all I wanted to do is to protect you, to love you, to cheer you up but you're too selfish to even show your smile! That's the only thing I could ever wish for, Moon. It's your smile!"

Night was already tearing up as he screamed on top of his lungs. Moon felt sorry for all the pain she had caused him, but she was to afraid to speak.

"You deprived me of my freedom, Moon. Why would you deprive me of your happiness too? All I ask of you is your smile, because every time you are happy, I become happy too, Moon. All it takes for me to be happy is you being happy. I wanted to make you smile but being with you is torturing me so hard."

"Night, I'm so sorry." Moon never realized she took it so far. He turned away and before he would take some steps, she uttered the last words she deprived him the most. The words that she knew would soar him into bliss.

"I love you, Night." she noticed him froze and he turned his back and replied, "I loved you once, Moon. I had let you go already, now do me a favor. Because I think it's also time that you too should let me go."

Moon came home with tears on her eyes. Sun engulfed her in a huge embrace as she wept the pain on his shoulders. She told him about their short encounter. Sun felt sympathy for her and guilt hovered above him once again.

She cried for hours and Sun couldn't bear it any longer. He decided to fix it once and for all, now would be his chance. He took a deep sigh and said, "Moon you never loved me." Moon stopped for a while and turned to Sun.

"I loved you, Sun. I won't cry for you for a thousand years if I don't." she laughed at the memory when all she did was to cry. How she wished she could've stopped crying back then. If she did she wouldn't lose him at all.

"No, Moon. You didn't. You loved the Night ever since back then."

"If I hadn't loved you back then, why would I cry for you for years? Why would my heart feel so broken back then?"

"Your heart never got broken, Moon. It was your pride. The fact that finally someone neglected your beauty was the thing that hurt you the most. I knew this because this is what I felt from Aurora before. She rejected me even though she called me dashing, and I could not accept the fact someone just threw me away just like that."

He cupped her face as they both gazed at each other's eyes. "I destroyed both of you, Moon. I'm so sorry, and right now I want the both of you fixed. He loves you, Moon. I know he still does. He may found another one but it was you who his heart will always find."

She looked at him in the eye and he told her the words he dreaded to say all his life. "I love you too, Moon. But I can't have you because your heart is away from my reach. It will always be by his heart. I want you to chase the thing that would finally give you the happiness you always deserve."

"Moon, please take him back for me. Be happy for me, Moon. Seeing you happy would make me happy just as what Night said. Because witnessing the happiness of the one you love is worth than a thousand treasures you would ask for. Please, Moon choose to live happily."

The Sun wept as he held her face and they both cried as nostalgia crept into both their bodies. "I'm longing for your happiness, Moon. I will let you go now. Get him back for me, Moon. Promise me."

She smiled at him as she held both of her hands and she uttered, "I broke a lot of promises already, Sun. This time, I won't make a promise. Because I will do it myself. I will get him back, Sun. For all of us. I want to be free."

Then they kissed and there came darkness. Men would say it's a horrifying scenery, but for the both of them it was beautiful. Because it had Night's essence. It holds the serenity that only Night could give to the world.

None of them would ever see how beautiful the darkness is, but all those who shine saw the beauty of the Night. And they parted and Moon left him with smiles on their faces. She took off and ran for the chase.

She will get him back. She will get her darkness back, she will get her light back. Because finally she realized that the good will never be seen if there is no evil. The light will be nothing if it weren't for the darkness.

She will be nothing without the Night's embrace.
