The Locked Up Wanderer

She woke up with a sunless heart.

Windows covered with the morning light.

Once more, she closed her eyes.

Felt the irony, she can't deny.

Everyday she does that norm.

Fix things, put on that uniform.

Wear that humor fancied by people.

That foolish trick that hides it all.

She walks through that hallway.

Same faces and smiles day after day.

"Very mundane," she foolishly thought.

But she enjoyed every moment she caught.

But then again, this is not where her heart lies.

No matter how hard she tries.

This is where her home is.

But this is not where her dreams exist.

And so she plans on going,

To see the great unknown.

Far, far beyond the eyes can reach,

To conquer her fears alone.
