The Panorama of Time

As I walking up the stairs, my feet started turning cold.

It felt familiar. It was the same house, the same stairs, the same time. It was dawn. The sky was pinkish and it had started turning cold and dark outside, and it was the essence of the depressed weather.

I summoned all my will to enter the room. The door was open and the lights were on. I knew what I would there. This picture has never left my eyes for years.

There was a cupboard in the front wall and it was open. I looked at the floor and there were some letters on the floor, some seemed like very old and, some were new. I looked at my right and there was a girl and boy sitting on the floor. It was an eerie sight. The boy was wearing a dark colored sweater and the girl was in a blue striped top. I think I have seen them somewhere. They felt familiar.

The boy was reading the letter and a drop of tear from his eyes was about to fall. It was silence. No one spoke a word. I didn't think they could see me. It have been standing there for eternity and no one spoke a word. I was spell bound. But as I moved closer, they came into life. The tear dropped on the boy's pants and he didn't stop crying after that. I broke their spell. After four years and three days, I was in the presence of love again.

Nothing could have expressed their feelings at the moment better than silence. That beautiful silence. His voice echoed in my mind, "I need you". Their lips have touched each other and there couldn't be a better sight of love.

"You two won't last", I murmured. I knew I broke their love. It was pure love, and I broke it by making them see what happens after they come out of the room and see the world, and see how dark it is out there. 

"You two won't last", I said again. Her pure heart couldn't accept it and she said they will love each other till the end of time, and their love is magic, the kind of magic which makes you spell bound.

"You will love him with every bit of you, and he will think the world of you, but you two won't last".

"You will not love her forever but she will be your light. You will not be with her, but she will be on your side."

"I will never stop loving her. I will love her for all of my life", he said. I smiled. "No, you won't". Said I.

As I started to get up, I looked at the letters she had written for him and wondered if he had still kept them with him. As I was closing the door, I looked at them one last time. They were in their spell again, not moving, not talking, the tear in his eyes are just about to flow, they are in the presence of love again.

They will always remain there. The girl in the striped top and the boy in the black sweater. They will always be in that room, hiding from the world, in the presence of their love.
