Once there was a poet who fell in love
New to this feeling yet she puff
Blithe all day, her lover sought
All tones and rythms, he caught
Blinded by the allure of his smile
This poet forgot to write a while
Her lover's eyes and precious laughter
Were enchanting, just as she uttered
Truth be told, her lover brought jinx
Bewitched, deluded, she couldn't believe
Walked bare footed on a hot nail
yowled at kness and begged for gale
Once there was a poet who felt pain
Barely knew this kind of shame
Tried to write a beautiful line
But this poor poet lost her ryhme
