The road not taken

Remember this poem from our English books 'the road not taken', Robert Frost tries to explain the delimma of life while choosing between the two paths. One path is clear, sorted and leads to a known destiny while the other one is unclear, messy and no one knows where it will lead us. But in real life we got so many paths to choose from. We have perceptions based on our own experiences and some from the experiences of our fellow mates. Life is always about choosing; choosing happiness over sorrow, company over solitude, silence over noise and walking over standing still. The choices vary from person to person, depending upon the way we see situations around us and it may lead us to the desired destination or we could end up arriving at some place we have never thought of.

Now that's destiny, whether we like it or not. Again we choose to be happy or complaining about our destiny. Our choices make us. We become the person we choose to become. No men is pre- destined, yet his choices determine his destiny. Sometimes various small choices lead us to the destiny, and sometimes one choice is enough to change our fate. Whatever could be the theory behind this choice-destiny relationship, we must remember that road has to be taken, whether it is the one taken earlier by someone (ensures your chances of reaching your destiny) or the one that has never been taken. Destiny is a tempting perk, but the real beauty lies in the journey. Someone rightly said, "don't be afraid of moving slow, be afraid of standing still." And indeed to live, we gotta move forward, whether slow or fast. Your choices will decide your destiny, but to reach there you have to choose a road, to move and keep moving.
