The Semicolon Project

"A semicolon is used to when an author could've ended their sentence but chose not to..."

This is a project I've been longing to join in for a long time and it is something that has started a long time ago. The semicolon project aims to deliver and inform people that depression is real and that everyone could possibly have it. I would like to contribute to this project by releasing stories that will help you, the readers realize what it truly feels like to have such a gnawing feeling at the back of your head waiting until it fully consumes you.

Depression is a feeling of nothingness and numbness, it is a feeling of pure lack of emotions and at the same time also, it is all a feeling of overwhelming emotions that deliver only pain agony within the person. It is something that slowly creeps up from inside you, slowly infecting every single part of your body, until you are cold, almost like a corpse, and it is something that is happening to many of us.

I will have stories that will show depression at its greatest intensities and these stories will be gruesome, it will be dark, and it will give the readers no quarter. However, some of the stories will also have redeeming qualities and in them, a chance of light, because there is still hope in madness, there is still light as long as darkness exists, and there is still optimism that exists when everything else is lost.

Please consider yourself, your sanity and who you are before you read them. These stories will be marked with a semicolon ";" as a forewarning, before the start of the story, to let the reader know full front that these stories will aim to completely overwhelm you with emotions that maybe  no one has ever felt before. I suggest that for people who have been diagnosed with depression to not read these stories as it will trigger certain emotions.  Prepare yourself and once you are ready and you know you are capable, then read on.
