The shadow's girl

She thought she had a light but little did she know,
That a shadow saw her darkness and had begun to follow,
For he would make her his queen and would never let her go,
Together they would rule the underworld show.

Piece by piece she lost her luck,
Little by little misfortune stuck,
She looked so pale like porcelain,
She thought about herself with much disdain.

So hard to swallow, Now her waist so thin,
But shadow liked his mate, she was perfect for him,
Beautiful hollow eyes, glistening in the night,
Together they stayed and never did they fight.

Not a soul to talk to, not a person to embrace,
It took her lil time to like him although without a face,
She gave in to his whims and accepted her fate,
No one could save her now, it was too late.
