The Silver Lining of my Dreams

Info

I stand there, between my past and my future. I stand where time has finally allowed me to stand and look, look at me and look at you. It allows me to look at us. There are things unsaid, as if they don't matter. But these are things my heart has learned not to expect or hear, but still wants to feel, deep within again.

I look at us, bounded, but the string is so thin and delicate. I m cautious not to pull it too hard, not to pull u too hard, for it may break, the silver lining of my dreams. I hold it, gently, a little afraid and look at you. You smile, it makes me smile. There is something that tells me it's not the same, it's deeper and forever. There is a feel, a chill that runs along my entire body. And I pull, I need u nearer, closer, my entire body needs you. I need you.

But the string breaks, breaks into thousands of luminous fragments. It breaks us into you and me again. And you fall, fall into the pit of darkness, the black hole of my past. And all I can do is stand and look at you, disappear, and the broken string recoil into my heart, leaving me alone in the darkness, with tears. Tell me where love goes when it's gone.
