The Syrian girl

*************************************
Have you ever met that girl who's shy and calm and awfully quiet?
You dismissed her with a wave of hand, thinking she is apparently not that bright,
Oh boy, you couldn't have been more wrong,
Coz she is someone so, so strong,
The calm that you witnessed,
Is all that she has consciously harnessed,
For if she shows you what she really is,
You couldn't handle it,your pants you would piss,
The storms she has braved,
Will leave you amazed,
She has come this far,
Her body bruised, but her mind ajar,
It's not about a boy,
In her life she has never felt joy,
She has seen the bodies and the ashes,
Wandered homeless, eaten from trashes,
There is nothing that moves her to tears,
All that she has seen, has conquered her fears,
She can even kill to survive,
It's a human instinct to stay alive,
Your problems will seem miniscule,
Compared to a bombed vestibule,
She has lost her family and all her friends,
The war that's going on doesn't seem to end,
What's more shocking is that no one seems to care,
So much for world peace, no one wants to share,
She sees right through you, sending a chill down your spine,
She has long abandoned the thought that she can ever be fine..
