It was tense, a lot of eyes were fixed on me. I was the hope of a million people. If I failed today, I would fail my nation. I could not let this happen. I had to do it and make it happen. It were the last few moments of this tense atmosphere because after this either they will stand or we will stand. Either we will celebrate with joy or cry with sorrow. This was the moment each person waits for to make his country proud. I had this moment, I had this moment all to myself. I needed to this. Finally, the opponent (notice, not enemy) charged towards me with all his might and gave his best, the same thing which I did. I did it. I hit a boundary and won this cricket match! Hip hip hooray! ;)
It is a poem about school life which children who go to school can relate to.
