Why am I always stared,

that way?

Because, I'm different from him

and also from her.

Because, I am masculine

as well as feminine.

Why am I secluded,

not sometimes but always?

Because, I'm neither a man

nor a woman.

Because, I have beards

as well as breasts.

Why I'm always made fun of,

not by some but all?

Just because, I'm different

from you all.

But trust me, the same God

made me as well.

Why am I not accepted

by the society?

When I live on the same land,

Breathe the same air,

Drink the same water,

Eat the same food as you.

What if, I don't fit in the definition

of your two genders?

Yes, I accept the fact that

I'm a transgender.

But, you tell me one thing.

Am I not a human?

I could have also been

A successful lawyer,

A well known doctor,

A dedicated teacher,

A soulful artist.

If you would have accepted me

the day I was born!!
