The Unknown Saga

Long time ago, there was a piece of earth named “mind” which was endowed, with the pastures- trees, ferns, grasses etc., all colored either green, black or brown. The produce obtained from them proved sufficient to the owner, as his necessities were few. He was a reticent person, and unlike his peers never embarked on voyages who always made desperate attempts to make their land graceful by planting a variety of flowering plant. From a distance, his land seemed banal and conspicuous, and was usually mocked upon. However, he was indifferent from these ridicules and always seemed to be satisfied about his condition.
But his equilibrium was soon to be disturbed. As the legend goes, it all started one day when a seed from a faraway land arrived towards him. Now there are still arguments about whether he already knew about the seed and its origin or not, but he still let the seed to be absorbed just in middle among his other plants. The seed germinated swiftly, and very soon a beautiful colorful little flower soon began to rise out of the plant. Initially, he did not pay any heed towards to the flower as he did not know any of these foreign colors. However, gradually he soon became accustomed to all those colors and became very fond of it. He provided special care to that plant with all his might and nicknamed it”love”. He went too far, and on the contrary all his other trustworthy plants soon begin to die out on the account of lack of attention. He realized the condition of his “mind” and unwillingly moved forwards to dislodge the plant from its base itself. But little did he know that he had cultivated the plant from a part of his consciousness. So, as soon as the plant realized the matter, it suddenly protruded out thorns out of its beautiful structure. He was taken aback, and that day his hands bled profusely from the attempt. He waited for a while, and even made attempts to revive his other plants. But they were not able to survive. The flower plant fed on the consciousness of all of them and gained in size and strength and more lethal defense mechanisms. It was now able to even induce him into the state of hypnosis, as the flower became more beautiful and accordingly its roots and branches grew more sinister and occupied every inch of land. Soon, he became a lunatic and started to hurt himself instead of the plant. He never became normal again and his land became barren except that lone flower.
Since then, nobody has made efforts to visit that land. Some passersby do claim to come across a ballad lamenting about a flower and its beauty. But, now it’s just a myth.
