The Winds Inside

Listening to my favorite songs on this gloomy day reminded me of how everything has changed. How these songs never sounded the same again. How some of my favorite people had lived lives away from me.
I think this is one of the heartbreaking but inevitable realities in life, we meet a lot of people along the way, they change our lives, then leave. The worse part is, we are only to accept it. Accept that they are not the same people we spent memories with, we fought battles with, we shared love with. But, being away from them doesn't actually mean goodbyes because they stay, right in the recesses of our hearts, they are there. And, nobody could ever replace that fill in our hearts. Nobody.
The song-- the lyrics, the soothing humming, the bearable screams, the voice. The rain-- the drops, the pleasuring plops, the frolic swamps, the sound.We walk on them, we look back, and we glow. We cry then we wipe our tears. This is life. It goes on.
The sky cried all day. So my heart, I guess.
