There Was Never An Us

Ever wondered what it could have been if he chose you instead? It's just disappointing because you'll never be that girl. Not as smart, beautiful, or not as perfect in his eyes. It hurts beause you know that he'll never appreciate your smile. He'll never look at you when you pass by. He'll never approach you nor talk to you unless he needs something from you. He'll never hold your hand. He'll never care if you get sick. He will never miss you.

And it just sucks knowing that you'd still be there.

It hurts so much that it makes you cry every night. You ask yourself: Does he care? Does he even cry for me? Does he miss me? Have I ever crossed his mind? Think of it. Is this all going to be worth it? Are you wasting your time?

You always thought the impossible would happen. That he's just shy or that there's something wrong which is why he would not admit that he has the same feelings for you. You guys meet each other's eyes all the time even if he likes someone else. But who are you kidding? You know that if he loves you, he'd tell you. He'd quickly grab the opportunity to tell you because if he cares, he'd approach you. He'd show concern. He won't be shy to admit it for he knows that you love him too.

You don't have to be depressed. There's more to life. You have a lot of reasons to be happy and enjoy yourself. You can just chill and go for a movie marathon. You can't keep yourself stuck in the thought of him. Yes, it feels good but it rips you apart at the same time. Love isn't supposed to hurt you. It's supposed to give you the kind of joy that touches your soul, fighting together no matter how much your heart is getting tortured because you know he loves you, too.

Now, you just have to go back and enjoy your life. You can be happy without the ideal of romance. You're beautiful. You don't have to change yourself. Someday, you'll find the guy who will accept you for who you are.
