This Bittersweet Life.

Do you ever just want things to go back to the way they were before? Back to the endless possibilities and not be here in this certainty. The mystery of next minute- not the definite answer, is something to be desired. Sometimes the being in the dark is preferable because the light hurts the eyes. Ignorance is bliss,they say and it's not a lie.
Can you tell me that you were not the happiest as a child? When the world spinned, twirled and swirled to your wishes. When candies tasted sweeter and bitterness was a novel experience, not a routine.
Growing up only makes you wish that you didn't know the answers, because they're no longer what you want. The curious cat in you has long died, yet the world throws facts in your face!
But every day we keep marching on, to no destination, for endless miles, ignoring the fatigue, chasing a mirage.

Maybe I'm just tired of walking. Maybe I just want to stop and rest. Watch the sunrise and sunset, sitting in the same place. For once, I just want to pause this and stare at everything stand still. I want to touch the still faces, capture frozen expressions and remember fixed gaze of their eyes.
I've grown accustomed to fleeting images, I wonder how stillness looks. Does it look like a night sky or desert morning?

Or does it look like my reflection in your eyes?
