To the boy absorbed with this one girl:

You met this one girl and decided she was the sun, because;

You are a planet. She lights up your life so you revolve around her and made her the center of your universe.

You are a flower and she was your source of energy. You made her an essential part of your every day.

You could’ve freed yourself but you tied yourself to her, captivated by her ineffable beauty.

But truth be told, YOU are the sun;

And she is a planet. As you come closer, you endanger her and intoxicate the air that she breathes.

She is a radiant larkspur and she burns up from the intensity of your heat.

At first you were kind, and you still are, but you've become too much for her to handle and now you’ve melted gold. You cannot bring back what was, with fire in your hands. You have to let things be. Let things mold to the way it’s supposed to be.
