To The Person Who Broke Me,

Info

"Yesterday's love is not tomorrow's regret." These are the words that I held into during my process of healing.

I took my time.

I embraced all the pain.

I embraced the sadness and the agony of losing you.

It killed me almost everytime you've crossed my mind.

Yet, I still managed to turn things around.

I am a mess. But a beautiful kind of it.

I am so proud of the girl that I became ever since you left.

I am no longer waiting for your calls.

I can now sleep at peace. Even without your hands beneath my head.

My days start and end just fine. Even without seeing your smile.

I am no longer stressing over our endless fights.

When I look in the mirror, all I see is a strong, independent woman flashing an unbreakable smile.

That weak, indecisive girl is gone.

My whole world has finally turned around.

Rainbows and butterflies replaced the poison of hate.

Who have thought I'd ever survive?

Long ago, the thought of losing you rips every fiber of my being.

"I'll self-destruct when you leave."

"I am so scared of losing you."

I guess, not everyone you lose is really a loss.

Look at me now. I made it.

No more sleepless and crying nights. Just sweet and saccharine dreams.

No more reliving of the past. Just simply looking forward for better days.

I once looked into those eyes and saw a future in them. But now, that future is just a fading part of an endless oblivion.

Those good days were behind us.

No more should've beens.

No more you.

No more us.

I can once again breathe and be genuinely happy.

So the person who broke me, I am so glad you did.

The whole process was hard, yes. But that made me who I am today.

It almost killed me. Just almost.

Finally, I can proudly say that it's over.

I am over you.

I am so glad everything's over.
