Tottenham boss "terrible second half" despite 2-0 win

Tottenham Hotspur won 2-0 at home against Fulham in the ninth round of the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, at 4:00 a.m. ET today, behind a goal and an assist from Son Heung-min. "I was very disappointed with the second half," Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino said in his official post-match press conference, according to Football London, "We were very good in the first half, but the second half was the worst we could have done with the ball.

"We were fortunate to keep a clean sheet because Guliyemo Vicario made some great saves. We need to control the game more," he said.

Madison, who scored the goal with an assist from Son Heung-min, also commented, "When it was 1-0 and we were winning, we stopped pressing. We used to do this when we were winning, but coach Postecoglu emphasized that we need to keep pressing to win," he said, revealing that the team won by emphasizing strong pressure.
