A great man once said that, there's only a certain window of perfect time, for doing perfect things, with perfect people, and unless desired returns could be anticipated and achieved, involvement of any sort is just a waste of time. But how do you know that the person is perfect for you? You don't. You have to take a risk, and if you succeed, then you hold on to them, do everything it takes to keep them in your life. That's what love is about, sacrifices, and if you are unwilling to do so, then it was never meant to happen. So, take that "leap of faith" Romeo, you never know where and when you will find your Juliet.
He believed every word of it and used to live by these words. Until the day she broke his heart. There relationship had reached it's end point, but he wasn't ready to loose her, not yet. But she was too fixated upon being liberated from these shackles of monogamy, which shattered him into tiny bits and he knew that there was no way he was going to recover from this and, someday, feel again.
The prospect of him ever feeling anything, anything at all, seemed nonsensical! He was disappointed in her, and she knew it! When love happens, pride usually interferes, and her pride was unrestrained! They say even after having myriads of problems, a couple can survive because they need only one reason to be together! That wasn't the case with them! Her pride and his gullibility got the best of them and they turned against each other! The little sense of infatuation that was barely surviving, turned into hostility, and everytime the fire was on the verge to succumb, the little pieces of nostalgia would make it worse! Yes, he was alive, and yes, he loved her, but his hatred towards her overpowered every other feeling, and at the end of the day he would feel betrayed by the one person that he trusted on, the one person he called his own, and he would feel it! He would feel the sheer agonizing pain that would feel like an arrow piercing his heart, an arrow shot by her!
