Untold Story

A child was wailing in pain,
She’s walking along the lane.
Struggling to capture your eyes,
The eyes that never tell lies.

Seeking not for toy but love,
Never thought she learned to love.
Whispering against the air,
Heard by one who’s loath to share.

Nothing was more painful then,
Seeing him and her often.
She knows that love starts to fade.
Knowing love was never made.

No matter how hard he tried,
Everything was fantasy.
Like the love he had for me,
The child, who’s hopeful yet tired.

Chasing the moon not the sun,
Chose a stone instead of gold.
Aren’t you a grown up man?
Living a life that’s untold.
