Waiting Widow

I stood there on the shore, waiting for your boat.
I know you'd come even though stormy clouds are already circling around my sunshine.
I never have been afraid of the waves, or the sea creatures lurking underneath.
You are my hero, and you would conquer the sea.

I stood there on the shore, watching the start of twilight.
I can feel the winds as they try to steer me away from my place.
But I held on, I can't let go.
I promised I'll wait for you.
Though they're far stronger than me, these winds, I couldn't let them uproot me.
I was singing, I sang them our song, hoping they'll finally realize we could never  go wrong.

Have you heard it?
My Spanish lullaby
The melody enveloped me with a sense of peace
I am calm, I am calm.
I would not let them wither us down.

I am waiting, waiting for you.
And I won't go, until your boat has finally come through.
And I can see the sun peeking through, he didn't gave up, he still hopes.
Then there's lighthouse that makes me feel safe, even though I'm alone in the night.
They're helping us, they're cheering for us. And I hope, you still feel the same way too.
I know I could never sing great as a siren, but please don't let them steer you away.
We won't sink, we are each other's anchor.
And I know, we are also each other's home.

See me waving?
I am here at the shore, waiting for your cold and still body to finally reach me and take me home.
Because l know you would always find your way back to me,
even though your dead body is eerily floating in the deep sea.
