What I seek in the emptiness of nights

Once someone asked me
What is it with you .. ?
What are you always looking for in the emptiness of the night ?
What do u seek in the darkness, which you cannot find in the day light.. ?

And all I could say was

It's about the trail of our journey words can't define
It's about that touch of your lips against mine 
It's about the good times and melodic rhymes
It's about the dream I lose in the day light
It's the world I create with the leftover memories I haven't lost in the stream of time ...
It's the solitude that embrace my broken self
When I'm shattering to million pieces.

That's why I crave for those empty nights
Because that's when I get to see you
Through the memories of the good old times
I had you by my side
Back then you were all mine.

But now that you are gone,
What else can I have ?
But the memories of you
What else do I do ?
But to miss you

Now that I'm exploring my heart..
It replicates the darkness of night
I get the chills just by thinking ,how to face another day without you..
How to go through the day, can I make it until the night ?

The more I dig into my heart
The more emptiness I find
When I go through our story
I realise that your delusional memories are how my empty nights are defined ...
