Why does it feel so foreign,
To live on the ground with the barbaric crowd?
Why are the humans unimaginably loud?
They don't chirp like the birds,
They don't buzz like the bees,
Rather put them creatures under locks and keys,
Little by little, their sweet melodies die,
Incessant sound of horn covers their cry.
Either their mouths are running or some device,
They want it all yet have no clue about the price,
Pushing and running a race that never ends,
No one is willing to make amends.
Wouldn't they be happier still being monkeys and apes?
They'd hang naked by the trees with no fancy capes,
They would look at the skies and meet at the rivers,
Wouldn't harm each other for sheer selfish pleasures.
There'd be no constant sounds of pings and rings,
There'd be no attachments to material things,
There'd be love stories still and celebrations too,
Birds would take the stage and no one would've heard of a zoo.
