Our dermatologists are experts in their areas, and they use their education, experience, and continuing research to deliver world-class patient care, primarily at The Skin Care Centre's main treatment centre.

Clinical skills are developed through examinations of patients under the supervision of personnel in the various clinical settings affiliated with the programme, as well as the study of cutaneous symptoms of systemic disease as addressed in seminars and hospital consultations.
Dermatological therapy is covered in a variety of lecture series and therapeutic clinics, including Surgery, Laser, Wound Healing, and others. Dermatology and immunodermatopathology are taught in various pathology sessions, and critical literature analysis is addressed through staff exposure and, more particularly, in the Journal Club. Technical abilities are also taken into account.
The need for dermatological treatments continues to grow, and all of our teaching clinics are consistently oversubscribed throughout the year, with skin cancer screening and treatment accounting for a portion of the high demand. Clinic faculty members hold dual qualifications from both VGH and SPH. The Skin Care Centre is the hub of the comprehensive clinical programme at Vancouver General Hospital.
