What The Mirror Sees

Everytime you look in the mirror,

Staring at your own reflection

What do you see? What do you feel?

Do you see your flaws,

Those scars that makes you insecure?

Do you feel worthless,

Unlovable, afraid no one will accept you?

"If I was just a little sexier,
If I was just a little prettier,
If I don't have acne,
If I was just on the right height...
Maybe I can be beautiful as well,
Maybe nobody will leave me anymore."

Have you ever thought of these things?

You know your flaws,

But you also know that no one is perfect

Yet you continue to have no confidence.

What you see in the mirror,

What you see in the reflection,

Is non other than yourself.

It is YOU and what you see is the truth.

But if you would only change your mindset, 

If you would only reverse your thought...

Then, you might be able to see the new truth.

What you see in the mirror may be different

From what the mirror sees.

"Even with these flaws,
Even if I can't be a little sexier,
Even if I can't be a little prettier,
Even if I have acne,
Even if I'm not on the right height...
I am still beautiful inside and out,
People will still see my worth."

Maybe that is what the mirror thinks.

It would be really so wonderful,

If you could see yourself that way.

Because you're art itself.

You can be so beautiful even with those flaws.

Because it is you and only you
