They say that Mirrors tell the truth. So I looked into the mirror and say "what's it like to be pretty?"
When I'm seeing other girls I thought that I'm the ugliest girl in the world. So that's why I became a lesbian, I became strong, I became the person my parents didn't want me to be. Until the moment comes that my "girl crush" said to me, "You know you're beautiful, don't waste your life on something that you're really not. To be honest, I think you're prettier than me. You just didn't knew about yourself because nobody taught you how to be the person you want to be."
After a year, I realized that maybe she's right. Maybe I just didn't know how to be happy, how to be myself and love myself. After that, I tried to be the person I've always wanted to be. And guess what? That's the first time I felt the real fun, real happiness, real me. No more hiding, no more buts', no more escorting to girls, no more pretending.
And now, once more I looked at the mirror not to ask myself the same sentences that has no answers. But to say that, "This is me, the real me. Thank you for showing me the real me, I think I just didn't see it because I'm focused on the thing that doesn't even describes me. So thank you."
I know it's never been easy to fight yourself, but that's not really the thing isn't it? You're never gonna beat yourself if you don't even know who you really are and what you are. And now you will go the other way around, instead of fighting "you" hug her. Love her and understand her.
To my mom. And all of the other mothers around the world that will do everything for their family.
