Why don't "WE" celebrate Teachers' day?

"The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon."

                                                                                          -The Alchemist

The last time , every student wished his teacher "Happy Teachers' day" was not because he wants to wish his teacher. The truth is that the student wanted his classroom to be the way it used to be , in the absence of his teacher, to be, in the presence of his teacher, atleast for one single day.

All he wanted is, to see his teacher one amongst them. He wants to see that his teacher also can make paper rockets, run errands in the classroom, and love to snack when someone is preaching to him.

In short terms, he wanted to see his teacher as his fellowmate- a student. But it turns out to be that the teacher politely says a "Thank you" and brushes away the student's expectations and continues to teach lessons.Much disappointment for the student.

Little did we all know that the student too, is a teacher for the teacher, vice versa.Learning is an eternal process. You learn to cry at the moment you came to this world and then you live this life because every second you are learning. You are learning till your last breathe. It maybe about life, love, betrayal, sacrifice or anything. But learning is an involuntary act just like how we breathe and we eat food.

The teacher is not only the " teacher" but the student, me , you and even the lifeless obljects around us. Every person we meet in our life, everything we do in our life has a connection. It is the learning from each of these, that is the connection. That keeps our life moving. All we need to realise is everyone are students here and everyone are teachers here.

"Teachers' day" , then, actually has to be celebrated by everybody, everything present in this world. It has been stereotyped as "Teachers' day" is only for the professionally tagged "Teachers".Let the unsung heroes get the limelight too. Let all of us celebrate Teachers' day, giving value to even the smallest thing we learnt from everybody and everything.

Happy Teachers' day folks! Cheers!
