Why Mr. Right is NOT always right

You must have pictured how your own love story shall transpire. I, for one, am guilty of that. A thousand times. A thousand different scenarios to a many different Romeos.

Having your own Mr. Right play that most important role would be picture-perfect. He will know the right things to say at the exact moments you needed to hear them. His surprises will be the very things that make you genuinely happy. His gestures will be the most comforting to you. Most of all, he will make you believe in a world full of beauty and bliss. He will be everything you ever wanted. Unfortunately, you will still wake up the next day all by yourself. Mr. Right stayed all but a part of your fantasies.

To craft that ideal person in mind is not that bad at all. It is actually good in some way. It gives you a clear picture of the person you wish to spend the rest of your life with. However, it may also limit your chances of meeting all the other good fishes in the sea.

So I say, let us try not interfere so much in the making of our own love story. Though I'm not asking you to plainly wait as to when your love story will portray itself. Hit that play button. Make your own moves. But don't heighten your expectations to a great extent. And do not be over dramatic when things don't happen as it did in your mind. Just allow the scenario to occur as they did.

It may be about balance. Know when to put matters into your own hands. At the same time, know when to step back and allow events to freely take place. You may also want to surrender. Surrender your heart and your desires to the Almighty. Trust that He will have your love story written at its best. He knows not only what you want but also your needs. Your wants and needs may not always be the same things. But rely that your best interests will always be prioritized.

Thus, prepare a limitless hard drive. You will need it. Your journey towards a happy ending will be a long one. Also, make room for wrong turns because it will not be a smooth course. Embrace every good and bad experiences. In the future, the things you've learned from those experiences will be your shield and armor. Then allow yourself to be surprised. Your real love story might not even be the least of your wildest imaginations.
