When I'll die someday
I'll request the people who'll outlive me
To never put me inside a glass coffin or anything with glass on it.
I assure you that you will never see
Any inch of my body lying on that wooden box
Because I don't want you to remember my dead face.
What I want you to put inside your head
Is the image of mine when we have last seen each other,
The last time we talked about life and how vulnerable humans are
And the last warmth you've felt after our tight hugs.
I don't want you to see the face of a sufferer
But instead the facade of a blessed soul that lived for a few decades.
You can imagine that I was done with my trial in the mortal realm
And is already needed to ascend to the heavenly realm
To claim my title as a goddess who surpassed a mundane challenge.
That my true form is not a body of a human being
But of galaxies and universes all in one creature
And is bound to take other forms to fully live.
You see, this body is not mine. It's borrowed.
When it's time for it to be given back to who owns it
We can never say no because my purpose here is over
And even though my leaving would break our hearts in two
We must accept the fact that you are all outliving me.
Painful it might be but the box separating us
Cannot contain our moments and memories together
Because our times will always be reeking out of it.
The stench of our past will be hard to remove
But you are free to forget me if you want to and need to.
Thank you for coming and existing. This time, I want you to live.
