What comes to men’s mind when they hear this particular word? They think of them as the caretakers of the house and the family. One who just stays in those four walled houses and cooks for them.
Now some of you may differ, but really this is the TRUTH. In India, every man thinks the same. We may have progressed and literacy rate may have increased but still their mentality hasn’t changed. Men still consider women as weak. Even today these men think that they are the superiors. Times may have changed, but men’s mentality hasn’t.
“Woman”; who is she?
She is a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister.
She is a person. She is strong, passionate, crafty, smart, courageous, and generous.
She is action, emotion and devotion.
She has hope, beauty and power. She has a brain and she knows how to use it.
She gives you life. She gives you respect, love, and gratitude. She believes in you. She will nurture you, fight for you. She deserves nothing less from you.
Today’s women are not what she was before. She is not that caretaker. She is not that wife who takes care of the whole family and gets nothing in return. She has changed; she is more confident, stronger, independent and invincible. She isn’t the one whose job is to cook for the family, she has moved on. She no more cares about the society or those narrow minded men.
Women have taken up jobs in various fields. Today they give a high level of competition to men. Stand shoulder to shoulder with men. Women want to be treated as equals so much so that if a woman rises to the top of her field it should be a commonplace occurrence that draws nothing more than a raised eyebrow at the gender. There needs to be a sea-change in the mind-set of the people in the country. Not just the women themselves, but the men have to wake up to a world that is moving towards equality and equity.
It’s not just sons who can carry their family name ahead, daughters can too. It’s not only men who can take up jobs and earn for the family, women can too. It’s not only men who deserve all freedom, women does too. It’s not only them, it’s us too.
As women we must stand up for ourselves. As women we must stand up for each other. As women we must stand up for justice for all.
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her. A woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone. No matter how many rocks she has stumbled upon her faith and strength remains intact.
A strong woman is one who feels deeply and loves fiercely. Her tears flow just as abundantly as her laughter. A strong woman is both soft and powerful. She is both practical and spiritual. A strong woman in her essence is a gift to the entire world.
Women are leaders, everywhere you look from CEO to the housewife that holds together a home. Respect Women, they rule the world. They can do anything. She is strong, ambitious, determined and gifted. There is practically nothing she can’t do.
