A World Wide Open

A world wide open,

But the blinds are shut tight.

Skies clear and free,

Yet we hide under hard canopies.

Swaying fields of fresh green,

But man-made fur preferred under our unbefouled feet.

Sweet song of natural harmony coming from towering treetops,

Yet manufactured noise reaches our trained ears.

Pure untouched nectar of flower and stream,

But only tainted matter reaches our taught lips.

A place full of tranquility and unwavering beauty,

Yet those who back away with such distaste,

May never see the elegance of this world were we thrive.
