Here I lay, with teary eyes
And there you are, with a bottle of wine
I keep the mixture of the memories,
Of laughs and tears,
Like a cocktail of different layers,
I'll fake a smile to hide the lies
And come out as a person with the most amazing life,
But as the sun sets in the West,
I go through the texts that used to make me smile.
Oh, See how my fingers quiver
By typing the words I'd like you to hear
Then see how my thumb dances over the arrow,
Looks at me with guilt and,
Oh, Thumb is now on backspace arrow,
Blurry vision due to eyes with sorrow.
I let it rain again today,
Promising my best friends to be the last, yet again.
As I press the backspace for long,
Another unsent text appreciates my control
As it'll rain heavily on the pillow tonight,
I will realise that not all poems rhyme
Just like an incomplete story,
Of You and I.
