“I love you”
Three words that swept me away
Never have I ever felt this way
When every morning I wake up
Yours are the words make my day
“I love you”
My first mistake was to believe
Believe that you loved me only
And every morning I wake up
Yours are the words I’d want to see
“I love you”
My love from afar, reach out
The oceans and seas grow loud
As I watch the distance grow
Yours are the words to drive away my doubt
“I love you”
Then there it was, finally
The thing I have failed to see
My love, you let this be?
Yours are the words to break me
“I love you”
Said to a few more people I knew
When I thought I alone could have you
You made me look like a fool
For yours are the words I believed to be true
I love you
My love, as painful as it is to say
Maybe I can get rid of this pain someday
Forget that you made me feel this way
For yours are the words that made me want to stay
I love you
And I now am letting you go
For I do not wish to fight a battle I’d lose, no.
For under the circumstances, she is closer to home
She will be the girl who has what I don’t
I love you
And this will be my last
I can no longer keep this up
The victim here is my fragile heart
For yours are words that tore me apart
