Let’s take a pledge
To smile bright
To see the day
With a better sight.
A smile a day
Brings joy in life
Keeps the evil away
And bright you shine.
Like when you close your eyes
The bad it hides
So as you smile
The flaws it disguise.
You don’t know how much
Your smile and you matter
To someone who knows your worth
And respects your pleasures.
What gives you pleasure?
Those gismos?
Or those branded clothes?
Or those funny memoirs?
To me pleasure is
That smile which never fades
And tells everyone
That you are not afraid.
Smile it away
Tell everyone you had the best day
No matter how much you are hurt
Just smile, and make it a better day.
When you’ll get old
Wrinkles you will get
Those will be the evidence
Behind that laughter once you had.
You don’t know
How beautiful you appear
When those muscles out grow
And form that smile on your glower.
Remember, even when it may be raining
If you keep on smiling
The sun will soon show
And smile back at you.
