The introverted girl

She said, silence was her source,
Could've aced that course.
Afraid of being lonely;
But wants to be left alone.
She wanted an invite,
Though preferred to stay out of sight.
She liked being in a crowd,
But anti-social, no doubt.

She's no affable butterfly,
Yet she flew beyond the sky.
Her identity in denial,
As if they were her rival.
She wants to be known,
Intolerant of her reality being shown.
She wants to spread her wings;
But introverts get caught up on little things.

She's mysterious;
Doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve.
A sense of belonging can't foster;
She feels like an imposter.
Got nothing to say, no words or such,
And sometimes, a little too much.
She still writes in diaries; a ingenuous soul,
Silence is her strategy, a heart of gold.

She takes things at heart,
Arduous to open up at the start.
A genuine person full of gratitude,
Like an angel, elevating on the altitude.
The world, her loneliness;
The horde her weakness.
That's her life in a swirl,
Forever the introverted girl.
