Deep Sleep

He was not a prince, but she is Sleeping Beauty.
Sadly, true love's kiss won't break the spell that put her on a long sleep. All he can do is pray and wait. Hoping one day she wakes up. 

Sometimes he breaks, sometimes he weeps. Everyday he pleaded.

"Don't be overcome by this, don't dare leave me, my love"

One day his words will reach her

But the clock took a non-stop round trip. And many voices started popping, forcing and pushing him to give up. 

He stands still, watching her sleep, carefully, gently, painfully.

His eyes grew tired, his lips went dry, and his hair turned grey, but his eyes...

His eyes are burning with hope. 

"She'll wake up, one day, she will."

He continued waiting. Until his back started hurting and his knees started failing.

He embraced her.

He felt her heat.

She is alive and breathing.

Just having a deep sleep.

Soon enough his body grows cold and unmoving

but the good thing

his love...

his love was undying.
