Change

I can never be the same as I am yesterday.

A hot coffee can never be as hot as it was the first time you sip it.
Permanent hair dyes won't last in your hair for it will eventually fade over time.
Chocolates taken out from refrigerators can never have the same hard texture as it will melt within a few minutes.
Books that you left in shelves untouched with white pages will never stay the same because in time, they will tan and cast creases.
People you met and had fallen in love with will never have the same old soul after they left because hearts reshape—not in form but in the sound of its beating.
That is why there's this thing called Change. I, too, am paradoxical in this world. Whatever you might know about me the last time you perceived, might never be the same as I am now.

I am thriving, and if it means becoming different, so be it. I am making progress, albeit rather slowly.
It takes a lot of time. And I will take that time.
